Keeping Kids Busy (Post 126)
If you would like to start your own ten cent crazy book - read post 1-4 to find out how
Over the holidays you may have a lot of extra children running around your house or you may just be looking for a way to keep your children busy while your wrapping gifts
Well, here's a simple and inexpensive way to keep a crowd of children busy for a long time
Have Children make Graham Cracker Christmas Houses
Cover a table with a plastic tablecloth or newspaper
Give each child a plastic placemat or a piece of construction or even a paper plate will do
Open a jar of peanut butter and a some boxes of graham crackers
Give each child a plastic knife or spoon - a large scoop of peanut butter on a small plate and a package or two of graham crackers
Fill small bowls full of different kinds of candy and cookies from the dollar store -M&M's-lemonheads, candy canes, Christmas cookies, sprinkles, gummi anything, gum drops etc - anything you can find that doesn't cost too much- set these in the center of the table
Now tell children to each make their own Christmas House using the peanut butter to hold the graham crackers together and decorating with the different kinds of candy - the fun part is to tell them that the best house will win a prize - (have a prize for all the children) a small candy bar or a Christmas ornament - just something small - and be sure to tell them that when they are done and the contest is won - they can eat their house (the truth is - they will probably eat enough while making it - that they won't want to eat it when done) - they will spend more time building then eating
Buy some vanilla cake icing in case anyone is allergic to peanut butter - children love to add food coloring to the icing to make red, blue, green and yellow Christmas lights for their house and white icing or coconut can be used for snow on the roof. Pointed ice cream cones make great Christmas trees to add to the scene.
After everyone is done - the whole scene can be rolled up in the newspaper and thrown away

Recycle (Post 125)
If you would like to start your own ten cent crazy book - read post 1-4 to find out how
Well, now that you are sending and receiving Holiday Cards - here's a recycle idea to add to your ten cent crazy book
First use the cards you receive as a decorations - tape or ticky tac them to the back of your front door or just an empty space on any wall that needs to look festive -- everyone loves looking at the cards and it will help you to remember family and friends through the holidays
Next save the cards when you take them down (and save the envelopes) update your address book and put the cards up with your tree ornaments - next year when you get out the decorations - you will remember to send cards and who you received from the year before
When you start wrapping those gifts next year - cut the pictures off the front of the old cards that you received the year before- they make the most outstanding name tags anyone has ever seen - everyone will want to know where you got them from.- all cards can't be used and some you will have to cut the words off of - but even children can make a fun project of cutting and designing the name tags.

Holiday Wishes (Post 122)
If you would like to start your own ten cent crazy book - read post 1-4 to find out how
Well, you've been busy and didn't get around to sending those Christmas Cards and now you think it's too late - WRONG - send cards that just say Happy Holidays or Happy New Year - sending a Happy New Year card gives you a whole month to still get them in the mail - or better yet - sit down and write that holiday letter - it's not that hard
Here's a list for your ten cent crazy book of what to write about
Go month by month
or pick one highlight of the year to focus on
let everyone in the family say one thing they enjoyed this year
look at pictures to help you remember what you did - where you went
focus on one charming or cute event that will make people laugh
tell what stage your children are at - the things they like
tell what things you enjoyed most this year
tell about the biggest challenge you faced this year
If you like to draw - include a snowman at the top or a ribbon at the bottom
Be sure to include a picture of the family
Now you might be saying - why? - I just send e-mails and save the postage - Well there are two reasons to spend the money on the postage -
First - It's so great to get a handwritten card or letter from a friend or relative in the mailbox - it shows that you really care and that they were not just an afterthought, also it's so fun to receive a card or letter in the midst of all those bills and advertisements.
Second - begin sending cards or letters now and as your family grows - be sure to include pictures - this helps friends who move away or family that don't live close by - feel like they are part of your life. - as your children grow - these are the people you will send those high school and college graduation invitations and later wedding and birth announcements.

Holiday Season Safety (Post 117)
If you would like to start your own ten cent crazy book - read post 1-4 to find out how
Here is a list of Holiday Season Safety tips to add to your ten cent crazy book
The National Safety Council offers these suggestions to help make your holiday season merry and safe.
Decorations
Wear gloves while decorating with spun glass "angel hair." It can irritate your eyes and skin. A common substitute is non-flammable cotton. Both angel hair and cotton snow are flame retardant when used alone. However, if artificial snow is sprayed onto them, the dried combination will burn rapidly. When spraying artificial snow on windows or other surfaces, be sure to follow directions carefully. These sprays can irritate your lungs if you inhale them.
Fireplaces
You should not try to burn evergreens or wreaths in the fireplace or in a wood stove to dispose of them. They are likely to flare out of control and send flames and smoke into the room. Also, do not burn wrapping paper in the fireplace because it often contains metallic materials which can be toxic if burned.
Candles
Never use lighted candles near trees, boughs, curtains/drapes, or with any potentially flammable item.
Toys and Gifts
Be especially careful when you choose toys for infants or small children. Be sure anything you give them is too big to get caught in the throat, nose or ears. Avoid toys with small parts that can be pulled or broken off. If you are giving toys to several children in one family, consider their age differences and the chances that younger children will want to play with older kids' toys.
Older adults
Select gifts for older adults that are not heavy or awkward to handle. For persons with arthritis, make sure the gift does not require assembly and can be easily opened and closed. Choose books with large type for anyone with vision impairment.
Plants
Small children may think that holiday plants look good enough to eat. But many plants can cause severe stomach problems. Plants to watch out for include: mistletoe, holly berries, Jerusalem cherry, and amaryllis. Keep all of these plants out of children's reach.
Food and Cooking
The holidays often mean preparing large meals for family and friends. Wash hands, utensils, sink, and anything else that has come in contact with raw poultry. Keep in mind that a stuffed bird takes longer to cook. For questions concerning holiday turkey Information and recommendations are compiled from sources believed to be reliable. The National Safety Council makes no guarantee as to and assumes no responsibility for the correctness, sufficiency or completeness of such information or recommendations. Other or additional safety measures may be required under particular circumstances. Last Revised: 04/09
preparation and cooking call the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline at 1-800-535-4555. Refrigerate or freeze leftovers in covered shallow containers (less than two inches deep) within two hours after cooking. Date the leftovers for future use.
Alcohol, Parties and Driving
Being a smart party host or guest should include being sensible about alcoholic drinks. More than half of all traffic fatalities are alcohol-related. Use designated drivers, people who do not drink, to drive other guests home after a holiday party.
Stress
The holiday season is one of the most stressful times of the year. You can't avoid stress completely, but you can give yourself some relief. Allow enough time to shop rather than hurry through stores and parking lots. Only plan to do a reasonable number of errands. When shopping, make several trips out to the car to drop off packages rather than trying to carry too many items. Take time out for yourself. Relax, read, or enjoy your favorite hobby at your own pace.

Awkward (Post 103)
If you would like to start your own ten cent crazy book - read post 1-4 to find out how
Sometimes we attend an event, party or social gathering (especially during the holidays) where we end up next to someone (sometimes for hours) who we don't know.
Well here's a list for your ten cent crazy book of questions that you can ask anyone.
What is your earliest memory?
What's next in your life?
Do you have any regrets?
What has been the happiest or saddest point in your life?
Would you like to know anything about me?
What are you proudest of in your life?
Who has been the most important person in your life? Will you tell me about them?
Who has been the kindest person in your life?
Who was the biggest influence in your life? What did they teach you?
What's the most important thing you've ever learned?
Have you ever felt really alone?
How would you like to be remembered?
Any words of wisdom that you can pass on to me?
Some of these should at least get the conversation started.

Charm (Post 102)
If you would like to start your own ten cent crazy book - read post 1-4 to find out how
As you flutter, push or run through the holiday season this year - try to remember - that the most important thing to have - is not a gift - the most important for you to express or give to other is:
Charm
If you can become an expert at being charming - everyone will remember you - everyone will love you and everyone will always invite you to visit again
To have charm - you must have:
a sense of humor
insight - to be able to understand others feelings and express compassion
passion - truly enjoy the moment no matter how small
effortless social grace - (grace is truth, love, joy and faith)
have and be a role model
accept compliments gracefully
be a good sport
notice nuance (someone has gone to a lot of trouble to make things look and feel wonderful - notice even small things)
bone up (if you know what others like - know something about it - if not - have some interesting thoughts or stories to tell others)
Have an interest in others (remember charm says - it's not all about you and yours)
and finally
Have curiosity (ask questions)

Las Vegas Soup (Post 100)
If you would like to start your own ten cent crazy book - read post 1-4 to find out how
This is by far - the best soup I have ever had - my mother got the recipe from a chef in Las Vegas in 1995
I of course have made it easier to make - since I am not now and will never be a cook - but the taste did not suffer from dumbing down the recipe - for people like me who can't cook - I normally do not like soup - but everyone loves this soup
LAS VEGAS SOUP
Fry until well cooked
In large frying pan
3 tablespoons of butter
1 cup diced up frozen onions
2 stalks celery (diced)
1 cup diced up carrots (can buy precut carrots)
1 bag (3 oz) real bacon bits
then add
2 cans cream of potato soup
2 cans cream of broccoli soup
1 and a half cups of milk
When hot - ready to eat
Will be the consistency of chowder - add more milk if you prefer it thinner
Serve with or without crackers

Pardon Me (Post 99)
If you would like to start your own ten cent crazy book - read post 1-4 to find out how
Here's a fun fact to add to your ten cent crazy book - and to give you something interesting, to talk about during this years Thanksgiving gathering.
Did you know that 25 turkeys born every July are selected to go to a VIP barn? -
There - they go through a training of sorts -
Where they are handled and often tour schools - to get use to being around crowds -
Starting just two weeks before Thanksgiving - music that will be played during the Disneyland Thanksgiving Day parade is played in the barn - around the clock -
Then the two most obedient and handsome turkeys in the group are selected to attend the Pardoning Ceremony at the White House -
Why two? -
Well, always have a backup plan - or in this case - a backup turkey -
A few days before Thanksgiving - the two turkeys travel to Washington D.C. -
Where they stay at the Willard Inter Continental Hotel -
The day before Thanksgiving - the turkeys go to the White House -
The one used during the Pardoning Ceremony - gets an official Pardon -
The other gets an unofficial Pardon -
Normally
The turkeys then fly, first class to Disneyland in California -
Where one will ride with the Grand Marshal, in the Disneyland Thanksgiving Day Parade -
The turkeys then live the rest of their life at the Big Thunder Ranch in Disneyland's Frontierland.
This year however - The turkeys will go to George Washington's Mount Vernon Estate in Virginia - where they will be on display through the Christmas season and then live out the rest of their life in a field with Aladdin the camel.

Be Smart (Post 97)
If you would like to start your own ten cent crazy book - read post 1-4 to find out how
Unfortunately, when the holidays are upon us and even when they're not - it's a time to remember home safety - burglars are out there - so here's a list of safety tips to add to your ten cent crazy book - so that perhaps you will deter a thief
Be smart - people cleaning your carpets - painting your house - delivering appliances - working in your yard or neighborhood - could be checking out your home.
Let them in to use the restroom or phone and they could be unlocking a window or checking things out - so they know what they want and where it is.
Nice things in the yard means nicer things inside to take - put up your toys and tools.
Newspapers and mail piling up tells them no one is home
If you have an alarm - can they look through a window and see if it is set
Don't leave your doors unlocked - even if you're in a hurry or just going to be a few minutes
If there's a knock on the door, and a stranger wants directions or offers to do something around your house - be suspicious - they might have been - just checking to see if you were home
A thief will check your dresser drawers, bedside tables, under the mattress, the medicine cabinet and the freezer.
They almost never go into a child's room
If a safe is not bolted down - they will take it
When you're not home - leave on a TV or radio

Happy Halloween (Post 93)
If you would like to start your own ten cent crazy book - read post 1-4 to find out how
Happy Halloween!!
Well, I'm sure the question on your mind today is:
How long can I keep the Trick-or-Treat candy, before it goes bad?
Well, Surprise! Surprise! Candy never truly goes bad.
Do you know why?
Because of the huge amounts of sugar in it.
It will however lose it's flavor and color.
Carmel is good for 6 to 9 months or can be frozen and stay good for a year.
Gum is chewable for 6 to 9 months and then will dry out.
Candy Corn can last for 9 months if you just look at the package and don't open it, but if open last 3 to 6 months
Jelled Candy can last a year unopened, but only 6 to 9 months in a candy dish.
Hard Candy can last one year.
Chocolate - that ever loveable chocolate can last 1 to 2 years.
Enjoy the candy and hoard a little for those middle of the night cravings throughout the year.

A New Project (Post 86)
If you would like to start your own ten cent crazy book - read post 1-4 to find out how
Ok, the holidays are coming - the seasons are changing - and guess what?
It's time to :
CLEAN OUT THE KITCHEN PANTRY!!!
For some of us - it has been years - I filled up a kitchen trash can with outdated cans - some of them expired in 2005 - I swear - I just bought that stuff - and if the labels on your spices have yellowed - it's time for the trash - Did you know that you are only supposed to keep spices for one year? After a year they lose their flavor - so the next time you buy a spice - use a permanent black marker and write the month and year on the top - so you know when to toss it out. Did you know that some baking goods - like pancake mix - can become toxic after the expiration date? - Someone could get really sick
Here's a list of things to do when cleaning out your pantry - to add to your ten cent crazy book
I know it sounds like a big job - but it will really only take about 30 minutes.
First - Take everything out - have the trash can nearby and check the dates as you pull things off the shelf.
Toss the old outdated stuff or anything dented - without a date or almost empty. Also anything you have not used in over a year
Set all the good stuff on the countertops or kitchen table.
Wipe down each shelf.
Organize everything while its on the table
Soft items should go toward the top of the pantry- paper towels, napkins etc - that way if you drop it on your head - you won't get hurt
Next should be things like: crackers, chips, snacks, cereals, pastas and noodles
At eye level should be cans - group - soups - meats - veggies - fruits - sauces and broths
Next should be baking supplies and spices - if you have any left after tossing the old - a plastic Lazy Susan can be bought for very little and is great for those little spice bottles and cans
Next should be any food items not already on a shelf - like those ready-made meals
Last should be anything heavy like bottles of water - juices - drinks etc.
Never store cleaning supplies with food - but it you must - put them on the very bottom so that if they spill - it will not be on food items.
Now you have a better idea of what you actually have in there! Plan meals around things that need to be used and make a list of spices you need to replace.
Enjoy your clean pantry and try to remember to clean it out again in April or May

Here's a list of Trick-or-Treating Safety Tips to add to your ten cent crazy book
An adult should always inspect children's candy when they are done trick-or-treating to remove open packages and choking hazards and throw out anything not factory-wrapped - no homemade treats unless you know the cook.- limit amount of treats to be eaten for the evening
Anyone Trick or Treating should always wear light colored clothing to be seen in the dark - and reflective tape should be put on bikes, skateboards, brooms and trick or treat bags
Map out a route so that everyone knows where they are going and how to get home
You may be dressed strange so be careful around animals, especially dogs
Stay on the sidewalks - don't walk in the street
Everyone should have a flashlight with fresh batteries
Stay off the grass and only visit homes with porch lights on
Don't talk to a stranger that approaches you, never go inside a strangers home or get into their car
Watch for cars - look both ways before crossing the street and cross at the corner, don't go between parked vehicles
Use face paint instead of a mask - test make-up on a small area of skin and never go to bed with it on
Use a glow stick instead of a candle in pumpkins. If there is a pumpkin with a candle, be careful, wigs, capes and costumes will catch fire if you get to close
Children should know how to call 9-1-1 if they become lost
Costume accessories (swords, knifes, sticks, canes) should be short, soft and flexible
Hats should not cover eyes
Shoes should fit well
Never trick or treat alone
Don't cut through alleys or fields, stay in populated, well lighted areas
Having a cell phone with you is always a good idea
Set a curfew time

Teddy Bear Day (Post 78)
If you would like to start your own ten cent crazy book - read post 1-4 to find out how
Here's something to add to the calendar in your ten cent crazy book
October 13th is
National Bring Your Teddy Bear to Work and School Day
You see in 1902 Teddy Roosevelt was invited to go hunting. When most of the other hunters had killed something and he had not, his attendants clubbed a black bear and tied it to a tree for him to shoot..
When he refused and said it was unsportsmanlike - political cartoonist had a field day and starting drawing cartoons - each making the bear smaller and smaller.
And the toy of a "Teddy" Bear came to be.
So it's good for us adults to have an excuse to carry our Teddy Bears around one day a year, thanks to a president who refused to use unsportsmanlike conduct.
So whether you have a good old fashion "Teddy" Bear, Winnie the Pooh, Paddington, Teddy Ruxpin or Care Bear get him out and take him to work.

A Good Book (Post 77)
If you would like to start your own ten cent crazy book read post 1-4 to find out how
Well, October is National Book Month. When's the last time you read a really good book? - Some of us read all the time and we have starting buying things like electronic machines that are about the size of a book - but they hold thousands of books - I can see this being a space saver, but unlike a book - if it gets wet - you can't dry it out - and if you sit on a book, it does not break and you can still read it. Well, technology is the now and the future of everything, but if you would like to curl up with a good book - electronic or otherwise - here's a list of some of the best books to add to your ten cent crazy book - buy one - give one as a gift - read one, after all - it's National Book Month.

And Then There Were None - Agatha Christie
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe -C. S Lewis

Pumpkins Pumpkins Pumpkins (Post 72)
If you would like to start your own ten cent crazy book – read post 1-4 to find out how
Ok, it’s time to buy those pumpkins – whether you’re going to carve them or just sit them out in front of the house or on a kitchen counter or next to the fireplace, there are pumpkins everywhere you look. Find whatever pumpkin makes you feel happy – maybe it’s putting a pumpkin on every step – ranging in size from large too small or just one great big jolly pumpkin.
Pumpkins last a really long time if the weather is cool, and you don’t carve them – they can easily look good from Halloween until Thanksgiving.
If you do plan on carving your pumpkin into a jack-o’-lantern – here are some tips to add to your ten cent crazy book.
Before you get out the knife – think about it
If you carve your pumpkin, more than a week before Halloween – you will probably have gnats everywhere by time the trick or treating starts
Know what kind of face you want to give your pumpkin
Draw it on a piece of paper – really like it
Remember if you make cuts between the mouth and nose to close to each other your pumpkin may crack and fall apart
Buy the right pumpkin
Sometimes a malformed pumpkin will cost less, but if you get a big pumpkin with a flat side and a large stem – you can always lay it on its side and display the stem as the pumpkins nose
Before carving – set your pumpkin on plenty of newspaper
Your knife should be long enough to cut through the shell but not go through the other side of the pumpkin
Draw your face on with a pencil
Do you want round or triangle eyes?
If you keep the pieces you cut out, you can use a couple of bread ties and make your pumpkin look like he has floating eyeballs by cutting out and attaching round eyeballs with the wires from the bread ties on the inside of the pumpkin
Do you want eyebrows to give him character or make him look mean?
Do you want a circle mouth, making the pumpkin look afraid or jagged teeth to make him mean or square teeth and a big smile? – straw added to square teeth can make him look like he has braces
Draw a circle and carve your lid on an inward angle – so the lid will not fall inside the pumpkin
Turn the pumpkin on its side and remove the insides of the pumpkin.
My pumpkins insides go straight into the trash – but some people use them for pies, soups or toast the seeds
Scooping out the insides is not always an easy job – most of the insides - you can get out with your hands and then I suggest you use an ice cream scoop – scrape the inside of the lid also
Now, carve the face at an angle to make the holes on the inside of the pumpkin wider than the outside holes
Sprinkle carved pumpkin with ground cinnamon - to make it last longer and smell good
All Done – I hope you and others enjoy your pumpkins

Fruits and Vegetables that are in season during October

Reseason An Iron Frying Pan (Post 69)
If you would like to start your own ten cent crazy book - read post 1-4 to find out how
Ok, most of us have an iron frying pan that we have been using for years and years. Well, chances are that this pan was seasoned when you bought it. In some cases years ago - a girls' mother would give the girl an iron frying pan as a wedding gift - with advice on how to use this pan if her husband ever got too mean, and advice on how to cook cornbread in it for him, if he was kind. In any case the pan, when bought - was seasoned - this helps to keep foods from sticking and also keeps the pan from rusting over time. Anyone who has ever received advice on iron cookware - will know not to ever put it in the dishwasher - this will remove the seasoning and cause it to rust - so whether you have a new pan or are going to reseason an old one - always wash it by hand and dry it with heat on the stove burner.
In any case - here's some advice to add to your ten cent crazy book.on how to season a frying pan -
and a cornbread recipe for those of you with a kind husband.
To reseason pan:
preheat oven at 350 degrees
wash pan and use a metal brush to remove rust if needed
dry pan well
cover the entire pan - inside and out with vegetable oil
place pan upside down on a piece of foil in the oven
Bake for 1 hour
Remove and set on stove burner to cool
Iron Frying Pan Cornbread Recipe
preheat oven at 425 degrees
Mix
2 cups of yellow self-rising cornmeal mix
1 and a half cups milk
1 large egg
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons sugar
pour a little oil into the bottom of your newly seasoned pan,
and tilt and coat the bottom and sides evenly
Pour mixture into pan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes
should be beautiful golden color and toothpick should come out clean
After removing from oven -
It is usually best to place an upside down plate on top of the pan - put one hand on the bottom of the plate and one on the pan handle and flip the cornbread onto plate while still hot- of course use a pot holder- cornbread will usually not stick to the pan while hot
Enjoy the pan and enjoy the cornbread

A New Project (Post 63)
If you would like to start your own ten cent crazy book - read post 1-4 to find out how
Here's a new project to add to your ten cent crazy book. As always, I try to pick a project that's easy and enjoyable.
Buy a new address book and take all those scraps of paper you have shoved in that old address book that you've been keeping for years and years - you know - the one with people whose names are scratched through because they died or moved ten years ago. Now when you're sitting around watching an old movie - transfer those good address' to your new book. If you don't have an address book - start one - everyone needs to receive a card once in a while. How happy does it make you to open the mailbox and realize that someone has sent you a birthday card - or get well card - or Christmas card. My aunt once sent my children a thinking of you card, with pieces of gum in the card -they were so happy - you would have thought someone had sent them a million dollars, after all, it is the thought that counts.
Most places that sell address books, also sell Dates to Remember books - these are about the same size as the address books and they're designed like a big calendar book, and you can write everyone's name on the date of their birthday or anniversary. It may take you a year to fill out your dates to remember book, but start asking all your friends and relatives - their address', their birthday, their anniversary and their children's birthday's. It won't take long and your list will grow and grow and you will become the card giving queen or king.
Now you might be saying - why? - I just send e-cards and save the postage - Well there our two reasons to spend the money on the postage -
First - It's so great to get a handwritten card from a friend or relative in the mailbox - it shows that you really care and that they were not just an afterthought, also it's so fun to receive a card in the midst of all those bills and advertisements.
Second - begin sending Christmas Cards while you are young and when your family grows - be sure to include pictures - this helps friends who move away or family that don't live close by - feel like they are part of your life. - as your children grow - these are the people you will send those high school and college graduation invitations and later wedding and birth announcements.
So get started on this fun great project

Ways To Be Positive (Post 61)
If you would like to start your own ten cent crazy book - read post 1- to fine out how
All of us would like to be happy all of the time - this is not reality, but here's a list to add to your ten cent crazy book, that will hopefully remind you of way to remain positive
Choose to be optimistic (say to yourself that everything will be ok - no matter what happens)
Accept things - We can only change ourselves - and the way we
view things - we cannot change others or
things that have already happened
Be resilient - You might have a bad day - learn to bounce back - have
a "things can only get better attitude
Be cheerful - Put on a smile - someone else may need it- people like to
be around happy people
Be enthusiastic - it rubs off on others
Be alert - try to avoid anyone that's in a bad mood
Have a sense of humor - laugh and laugh some more
Be a good sport - acknowledge when someone else did well and be happy for them
Be humble - resist tooting your own horn
Be grateful - think of five things that happen each day, that you are
grateful for, even if it's:
I woke up this morning
I made it to work
I made it home
The dog's glad to see me
My bed feels good
Have Faith - Things will always be better tomorrow
Have Hope - Hope that today will be great, and if not - maybe
tomorrow

Lose Weight (Post 58)
If you would like to start a ten cent crazy book - read post 1-4 to find out how
Well, everyone always seems to want to lose a few pounds - Here's a list of things to add to your ten cent crazy book on how to lose a few pounds, without thinking about it to much
1. Write down what you eat
2. Sleep Well
3. Sit at a table and enjoy your food - with no distractions ( yes this means no TV while eating)
4. Exercise (duh!)
5. Leave at least one bite of everything
6. No buffets - not breakfast, lunch, supper and especially no soup and salad bars - we eat way to much when "all you can eat" is an option.
7. If you are hungry eat something - if you wait to long - you will give up and overeat
I once heard of a group of people, that had agreed not to eat until their stomach growled, and then they could eat anything they wanted for 30 minutes, and they were losing weight - I have tried this (to hard for me - and probably not healthy)
Good Luck!!

Favorite Actors (Post 57)
If you would like to start your own ten cent crazy book - read post 1-4 to find out how
All of us have our favorite types of movies or televisions shows that we like to watch, but what I suggest you do - is add a list of actors to your ten cent crazy book. Those actors that you know, no matter what - you would probably watch whatever they are in. We are all a little choosy when buying a DVD, because we know that we will probably watch it again and again over time and why buy something that doesn't have one of your favorite actors, but when you go to rent a DVD, you might wonder whether the movie you're going to rent will be worth watching - well once you have your actor list written down, not only will you know in a second if someone you really like is in the DVD, but you can give a copy of the list to anyone going to rent a DVD and say - I'll watch anything with any of these actors. Or better yet, if someone wants ideas of what to get you for your birthday or Christmas - give them the list, DVD's don't cost a load and you will love whatever they buy.
Here's my list for now
Women I will watch, no matter what they're in:
Michelle Phifer
Sandra Bullock
Julia Roberts
Joan Cusack
Diane Keaton
Meryl Streep
Ellen Degeneres
Jennifer Aniston
Whoopi Goldberg
Sally Field
Helen Hunt
Meg Ryan
Goldie Hawn
Just to name a few-
Men I will watch, no matter what they're in:
Robin Williams
Jim Carrey
Kevin Spacy
Adam Sandler
Will Smith
John Cusack
Woody Allen
Steve Martin
Johnny Deep
Tom Hanks
George Clooney
Owen Wilson
Danny Devito
Michael Keaton
Richard Dreyfuss
Neil Patrick Harris
Both list will go up and down over time, depending on your moods, but it's always fun to know what you really like.
