Sopaipillas (Post 280)

Ok, as we get close to Valentine's Day, here's a recipe to add to your ten cent crazy book, so that you can serve it to your honey with honey. Good Mexican restaurant style Sopaipillas.

Sopaipillas

Mix

2 cups flour
1 and a half teaspoons sugar
1 and a half teaspoons oil
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup water

Knead dough on lightly floured surface (until not sticky)-about 1 minute Cover with damp cloth and let sit 15 minutes Divide dough into 3 balls Cover and let sit 30 minutes Roll out each ball into an 8x8 inch square Cut 8x8 into 4 Drop one at a time into 2 inches of hot oil Cook one at a time It should rise to the top and then turn until it puffs up And serve with honey to your honey

What a great Valentine's Day dessert.
