August 18th is "Bay Poetry Day"
Bad Poetry Day is a day to create some really bad verse.
But, why you ask? Perhaps, the answer is simply "because you can". Maybe, it
exists to allow us to better appreciate good poetry. Or, perhaps it is to be
written to irritate someone......
The intention
is to gather a group of old high school friends, and write some really bad
poetry. Then, send the poetry to your old high school teacher. Wow!, That sounds
like a lot of fun......
August 18th is "Birth Control Day"
On August 18, 1960, the first birth control pills hit
the market.
August 18th is "God's Preeminence Day"
"God's Preeminence Day" is one specific
day,
set aside from all other holidays, designed to pay tribute to God, And Holy Spirit.
This is a day that makes us contemplate how we approach and speak to God.
Thought, prayer, and meditation about God, consider how God may be doing,
while at the same time paying tribute to God, and giving all glory to God.

August 18th is celebrated as National Mail Order Catalog day to recognize the
first catalog Montgomery Ward produced.

Serendipity is the idea of making desirable

accident.
